हुआ करे थी आसरा
जब खुदा की लौ ।
हर एक शख्स से
कुछ रिश्ता लगता था ।।
खुदा की ज़ात पर जो हुआ शुबा ।
आसमान से हट गई नज़र ।
अब हर एक कल
किसी खोफ का नाम है ।
किसी खोफ का पेगाम है ।
कभी तख्तो ताज ड़गमगाते हैं ।
कभी विरानों के सपने आते हैं ।।
पर शुबा हुआ क्यों
मुझे यह तो बता?
जब किया था खुदा पर एतबार
अपने ही होंसले पर क्यों शुबा हुआ ?
अगर बुत में बसता नहीं खुदा
जिस्म भी तो ख़ाक में मिलेगा ।
ख़ाक में तुँ उसे मिलेगा
या तुझको मिलेगा खुदा ।।
पर शुबा हुआ क्यों
मुझे यह तो बता?
एक एहसास है
जिससे ॑मैं ॑ बना ।
खुदा भी है
उस एहसास का जना ।।
या तो अपने एहसास पर कर एतबार
या फिर ये बेएतबारी छोड़ दे ।।
बुत में जो नहीं खुदा
खाक में तो भी मिलेगा तुँ ।
जो तेरी ख़ाक का बुत बना
क्या उस बुत में मिलेगा तुँ ?

अब ये डिक्शनरी सर्वज्ञ का हिस्सा बन गयी है, यानि कि आप भी इसमे अपने शब्द जोड़ सकते हो.

ReplyDeleteIt means "doubt" or Shaka.
Here it has deeper connotation that means that when you become apprehensive about the very validity of the concept of God.
You are from Agra. It is just a view that such a common word of Urdu should not be new to me. It may be that in Punjab there are more Persian and Urdu words which are in use but I think in Awadh and Mewati region, Urdu has panetrated to the same level. If Hindi is from 1050 origin then Urdu is from 1250 onwards. It is upto you that how much you use Sanskrit or Persian words. In Punjabi, there has been this conflict. In West Pakistan, they say that they speak Punjabi but speak more of Persian words. In Indian Punjab they use more of Sanskrit words and Baluchi language and call it PUnjabi by writing in Gurumukhi script. I am not master in linguistic but I understand that it is common word and not that difficult word.
I just wanted to add, that it was written when I was studying the effect of Darwin Theory on the Christian world. That has also effected my beliefs and faiths. After that I have kept on coming out and going back in my set of bliefs.

I will also write a small monologue titled Why did Social degradation set in India after eighth century. These are all by products of my understanding of own subject.
